Luck O The Oirish

Well I haven't had much of a chance online lately.... but the good thing is I got my pictures this time!
At the moment I'm in Omagh, Northern Ireland staying with an Irish lass I met in Broome, WA. We went to Gortin Glen Forest Park, nice views.

I met some of Laura and Stevie's friends the other night. Paddy, Doc, Laura and a tiny piece of pizza... thats is a guitar pic next to it.

Anyways it's pissin with rain but no floods atm. Apparently there was huge floods last couple of weeks.
I have to go now because I need to buy grog for the grog party tonight.

I shouldn't go to bed...

I just figured out that... to make my plane at 7:55am I need to be at Stansted airport at 5:55am.
To get to Stansted, I have to leave Liverpool St Station by train at 4:55am. £15.50 Earlyer...
To get to Liverpool St Station, I have to leave High St Kensington at 3:40am.... AND,
To get to High St Kensington, I have to shower, change, then walk to the bus stand... (With 4 bags and a guitar) Leaving the hostel by 2:30am.
With my packed complimentary breakfast.

I figure I should just not bother going to bed... instead party with this huge group of Spainish students :p

All my stuff is packed so I can't be bothered unpacking just to post photos... but I should be able to put some on the next post.

Anyways some how it took me half an hour to write this post so I gotta go now... take care, all the best and g'day

Internet Cafe Rant

Sorry about the spaz with the whole "No one comments" thing. It was mainly aimed at the people who got one of those little cards with my blog address on it, and viewed my blog but didn't leave a post, or didn't view my blog at all! I must thank all those who comment... =)

Well I'm in a decent internet cafe which charges 10p/min or £5 an hour... a little rich I know, but still good. Every library I manage to find has Stoopid Dell's with a site block on www.blogger.com and usually a site block on web messenger, and usually don't allow USB access anyways!
I finally get to a decent computer with USB and I even brought my card reader and digi cam with the SD card init. THERES NO PHOTOS ON IT! :(

Well I'm glad thats out of my system.

Today I sorted out my parcel to be sent to the local post office so I should get it tomorrow. And I went to the laundr-o-mat today only to find out there closed on Wednesdays. So I walked down the "High st." of Westbury (which is about as high as the road out of Waroona.) to find a backpack. £6.99 later and I was a happy chappy.

I'm going to look at heading south tomorrow if my package arrives in time. I would like to see Stonehenge during Summer Solstice, coz they have massive partys and stuff. And I think I will be allowed to touch the stones!

We have had a little bit of rain the last couple of days and most likely some more before the weeks through, but I haven't heard of any problems with the rain such as floods.

Anyways pleanty of other things for me to do online so I best be off.

Speak at ya soon.

Thanks for all of your comments!... NOT

SOOOOOO, I got up before both the girls today (10:30) and then tried to wake Sarah up. Unfortunatly I woke up Na Na instead. She hates me now.

I got a reed and a set of acoustic strings for Sarah and tried to find somewhere that sells shower curtain rods.

I'm going to Belfast in 10 Days but I'm not sure how long for yet. I will do my best to get a job before then because I need some English Pounds.

I'll be buying a backpack before I go because my suitcase is to cumbersome for travel.

I've got a "man cold" which is like a regular cold cept I need man sized tissues for a man sized tap nose. I feel like crap.

I've been playing my guitar heaps lately which I spose is good and I've written a few new tunes.

Ok well I'm at Reena's mum's place on the laptop so I gotta go so I'm not wasting too much time.

Alert!

I'm starting to sound English :(! It sucks in a way but otherwise its not too bad I spose. My sunburn has gone which is good. I did some washing today and this crazy old guy who owned the laundr-o-mat practically did it for me.

I went on a nice little bus ride to Salisbury today so I could get my PIN for my card and some Subway, coz there isn't one in Westbury.

One of Reena's (Tamrin) friends came round last night and he took us for a drive to Texaco in Trowbridge so we could get a couple of DVD's.

Today I changed the last of my Australian currency and got about 38 pounds out of my 100 aussie dollars :( I still haven't got a job but I'll be hastling them out pretty soon.

Ok no pictures this time because there isn't really any interesting ones. Well there is but your gonna have to wait a few months to see em.

ok time to go now. Take care.

Down South

Hiya to the English relatives following my blog. CHEERS! This is Tamrin and Sarah, there cool. I'm staying at there flat at the moment for a few weeks depending if I can sort a job out.

I've been around to a few pubs for jobs and some of them are keen, but I'll keep trying other places too. Tamrins mum and step dad took us out yesterday to Lord Bath's Mansion at Longleat. ITS HUGE! Then today we took a drive down to Portsmouth, and went to the Amusement Park. My face got a little bit burnt again.

We went out last night and didn't go to bed until about 2 in the morning. So I'm pretty worn out and wanna go to bed soooooon. So keep in touch and talk to you soon.

The Stones

Yesty, I went to Stonehenge! But before that I went to Westbury to catch up with Tam. She gave me a tour of Westbury which was over in about 5 mins coz its so bloody small. But we walked up to the White Horse of Westbury! That took about 20 mins to walk all the way up the hill and about 3 mins to walk all the way down. But before THAT I got killer sun burn... who woulda thought you could get sunburn in bloody England.

Then went on to Stonehenge on the double decker bus. The entry fee was good coz I only had to pay student price thanks to my trusty YHA card ;) They gave me a little hand held device, on which I selected a number. Each number was a different spiel about the stones and the surrounding area. T'was quite good. I had about an hour and 10 before the last bus back to Salisbury so I had enough time to take it slow and steady get a few pics and all.

This stoopid kid kept staring at me so I said, stop it or I'll bite ya f^,"in face off. The kid started sticking his tongue out at me. I said, I'LL BITE YA F=%#ING FACE OFF! But he didn't stop. So I bit his f*`~ing face off. Then went to the Cathedral.

I'm heading to Westbury later on today. Staying there for a little while.

Anyways my times up. £4 later! okies ttyall soon.

Another New Place

This is getting confusing.

I'm now in Salisbury (SAUCEBURY) net cafe prices are back to £4 an hour :(

I'm going to Westbury tomora and while I'm out and about I'll drop into the stonehenge and take the audio commentary tour. I wonder if I can record it onto my mp3 player... :p we'll see.

I got some photos of travel between here and portsmouth and from when I went to Southampton yesterday. But I cant post them yet because this computer doesnt have a card reader and i forgot to bring mine.

Instead I will entertain you with a cartoon drawn about me.

Anyways it's already cost me an arm and a leg to post this so I'll get going. Might be back later to put some of those pics on for ya.

Just A Quicky

Yesterday after posting I walked across the millenium bridge to TATE Modern Museum. I laughed just about the whole way through there because I can't believe how people can become so famous from shit like that. Although I did appreciate some of it, like the way some items were described. One such "Painting" was a blank canvas (about 100 x 50) with a slash straight through the middle. The description was something along the lines of... "The artist of this piece believed that looking through the canvas was like a portal to the free world." Which i recons pretty cool. Today I stopped of at the London Dungeons and got scared shitless. Well maybe only alittle. was pretty good tour through "Ye Olde London" during the black plague and the fires in 1666. They even had a ride which was kind of like the mega drop at the perth royal show, but about 1/8 the size. Still fun. I'm at the library now and the internet is free! wooo hoooo. I've got a time limit tho. I haven't got any photos to post for you because I forgot to take some when I was in the dungeons. Anyways I think I'll be heading south today. Down to Southampton. Might visit the Stonehenge over the next few days. I hope. Ok well my half hour is up so I have to go now. I'll keep ya posted.

Moving On

I didn't post last night, mostly because I moved hostel and couldn't find a nearby internet cafe. But also because I was playin pool with some American girls. (cheers for the games)

I'm now staying at St. Paul's YHA which is just down the road from St. Paul's Cathedral. So I'm the lucky one who gets to listen to the bells all morning. I couldn't fit the whole cathedral in one frame, so I took two and spliced em.

I went out for a LOOOOOONG walk last night. I got to thinking. I even found Ghandi. You know he hangs around some pretty famous people. Travolta, Sam Jackson, he even threw us a little party, with live entertainment. You wouldn't believe who played.

Anyways, today I had a MONSTER (complementary) breakfast.

Choice of three kinds of cereal, toast with all the condiments, croissants, yoghurt, fruit juice, bacon and baked beans, cold meats and cheeses and even tea or coffee.

I'm having that again tomora but a little bit earlyer so I can go to the London Dungeons!

I might stay in London 1 more night then head south so I can visit the stonehenge! And hopefully meet up with an old school mate.

So take care till next time.

Thanks Be To Yee

After I made yesterdays post, I made 88 small cards each with a message. They said: Follow the amazing journey of an Aussie in Ol'Blighty http://uk-for-me.blogspot.com/ I spent most of yesterday handing them out to random people. If you got one of these notes and visit this blog, please leave a comment :D! I also gave some to souvenir shops asking them to offer me a small gift, in return I would mention there business on this blog. So thanks to: Lambert Souvenirs "Gifts of London" CGX accessories "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie" news STAND (opposite Big Ben) "Lovely Staff" Traders Gate "Great swiss army knife keyring!" and a couple of others who were just VERY kind.
Ok, so I went and saw Big Ben and the Tower Bridge and all sorts of stuff all over the place yesterday. My legs are dead from walking so much, and up and down stairs in the Underground.
(thanks to the American chick for takin the photo of Big Russ with Big Ben) Some Canadian guys (Boris and JP) stayed in my dorm last night and one of them plays guitar. Now that I have a BRAND NEW acoustic guitar Boris showed me a couple of tunes on it. Nice bosanova chords. If you can read French check out there Blog at: http://salutdeurope.blogspot.com
I found an Aussie bar called Walkabout so I HAD to drop in for a quick refreshment.

I even got some random foreigners to do silly stuff. Half of them don't look interested, not surprising.

Ok well I got lots of otherstuff to do today so I better leave it at that. Feel free to make comments and G'Days. Seeya next time.
